Participation and Rules
Participating in your regional contest
Participation is simple! Teach one or more of the economic concepts aligned to your student’s grade level. Have your students create a color drawing to demonstrate their understanding of the concept. Submit your entries to your regional center for judging. Regional Winners are awarded prizes and advance to the state competition.

Rules
Teachers should submit entries to their school’s regional competition. Include one completed entry form per teacher with entries. All entries must be postmarked to your regional center no later than December 31, 2018.
To qualify for judging, entries must meet the following criteria:
- Contain art that is original and hand-drawn by a student in grades 1-8.
- Horizontally display artwork on a white sheet of paper, not smaller than 8-1/2" x 11" and not larger than 9 x 12”.
- Colorfully illustrate one of the twelve economic concepts, aligned to the student's grade.
- Include the complete economic concept name illustrated in large (1” minimum) letters near the top of the drawing. (Note: terms in parenthesis are NOT part of the concept and do not need to be included in the title.) Concept title should be written clearly and spelled correctly.
- Lightly tape a 3 x 5” student information card to the back of each poster, including: student’s first and last name, student’s grade level, teacher’s first and last name, complete school name.
- One entry per student.
