All schools who participate in the preliminary (online) round of competition in March will receive a certificate of recognition.

At the state competition, the first-place and second-place teams and their teacher-coaches receive prizes and medals. Both winning teams receive a trophy for their school. All schools participating in the state finals receive a framed and matted certificate noting their participation in the finals.

The first place team qualifies for participation in the national semi-finals competition. This is a proctored set of national semi-finals tests that are taken on-site at the winner’s school on a given date and time in April when all states compete. Top-scoring teams will qualify to advance to the National Economic Challenge Finals in New York City in May.
